My Withdrawal from the American Heart Walk

This is a short note to tell everyone that as much as I wanted to participate and raise money for the American Heart Association on Saturday, August 25, 2012 in the Heart Walk, I have e-mailed the person in charge to inform her that I have withdrew.

My reason for this decision is my disappointment in their collection of donation system.

I, personally, feel that if I ask you for a donation then you have the choice in deciding how much or how little you would like to donate.  There are many factors in this decision; One being factored is a limited income.
Now, when I first started asking for donations I never wanted anyone to feel obligated to give a certain amount.  As time went on, I learned that in order to make a convenient online donation on my donation page there was a stipulation... and that was if you wanted this credit card convenience then the minimum donation amount was $25.  This was a major determent for those who wanted to make a donation, as well as myself.

I felt disappointed in the American Heart Association's method of collecting donations; In addition, my schedule makes it difficult to meet everyone face-to-face for cash/check donations.
In all, this is the reason why I regrettably made the decision to withdraw from the Heart Walk.

In light of the situation, I truly wish all those who are still participating and involved with the Heart Walk on August 25, 2012 abundant blessings for a great overall success!
